mnc NEWS

Privacy policy

The short version: this site collects as little as it can. There is no advertising, no third-party tracking, and nothing you type into a form on this site currently leaves your own browser.

What we store

Sign-in details, newsletter preferences, saved settings and comments you write are held in your browser’s local storage on the device you are using. They are not transmitted to MNC News or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes them permanently, and we cannot recover them for you.

What we do not do

  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds that report back.
  • No sale or sharing of personal information, because none is collected on our side.
  • No cookie banner, because the site sets no cookies that would require one.

Fonts and external requests

The site loads one web font from Google Fonts. That request tells Google your IP address and browser, as any request to any server does. Everything else on the page — images, stylesheet, script — is served from this site.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, which include IP address, request path, referrer and user agent. These are used to keep the site running and to identify abuse, and are retained for a short period.

When accounts become real

When a genuine account system is connected, this page will be updated before it goes live, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried in a revision note. If that change means data leaving your device, you will be asked first.

Questions

Anything about this policy, including a request to know what we hold about you, goes through contact.
